Overview
The MPE-4001 is a professional broadcast encoder supporting MPEG-2 HD/SD and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 HD/SD encoding of resolutions from 480i/576i up to 1080p60, with downscaling and pre-processing such as de-interlacing, noise reduction and sharpening. All video inputs (SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, CVBS) are available in parallel with seamless source switching, and audio is handled via XLR, AES, BNC, SDI and HDMI with MPEG-1 Layer II, HE-AAC, LC-AAC and Dolby Digital AC3 encoding or AC3 pass-through. Dual ASI outputs and dual GbE ports stream MPTS over UDP, RTP and RTSP, while low-latency modes down to 150 ms and LCD/keypad plus web-based management round out the feature set.
