Overview
The VIZOBOX BFM-1732C is a 19-inch fiber-optic SAT multiswitch for long-distance, low-loss distribution of satellite signals in large SMATV installations. As the head end of the VIZOBOX FTTH fiber-optic multiswitch system, it serves up to 4 SAT positions plus terrestrial RF and feeds 32 SC/APC optical outputs directly to homes and wall outlets (SAT-FttB, FttC, FttH). Operation is bi-directional over a single fiber: the SAT-IF downstream is transmitted at 1550 nm, while receiver switching data (SAT-IF frequency, 13/18 V polarisation, 0/22 kHz band switching, DiSEqC SAT position) returns at 1310 nm from the BFR optical receivers at the subscriber side.
